This section presents the results of a research project that seeks to synthesise the clinical experience of hundreds of clinician regarding the treatment of certain diseases with Chinese medicine. The authors of this project are Yoann Birling and Mingxian Jia. Xiaoshu Zhu, Alan Bensoussan and Caterina Tannous also participated in this project.

The reason why we started this project is because of the dissatisfaction of some clinicians regarding current textbooks and guidelines. The main issues are that the source of the knowledge is unknown and that patterns are presented in a rigid way. We wanted to create guidance for clinicians based on pooled knowledge from clinicians, and present it in a flexible way.
